It was an honor to have two of our prayer partners, Nick Jacobson and Chad Vice (going from left to right) guard the tomb as well as play other important roles throughout the performance.  Posted by Hello

The race was very heated as the Cambodian buttons were not nearly as easy to work with as the ones that we have on our clothes. Posted by Hello

Some of the greatest times we have with kids is when we talk about the food in the country of Cambodia. Their amazement as we tell about the eggs, the spiders, the fruit, and especially all the rice that is in their diet. Here , Zach shows his proficiency at using chopsticks. Posted by Hello

New York Update: Pictures below

The Good Samaritan

When Jesus was asked to define a neighbor, He could have answered, “anyone you come in contact with… most importantly, someone with a need.” But he didn’t. Instead He told a story showing us who was in need and how we could help him or her by using our materials, using our transportation, using our money, and most importantly using our time! As we traveled this past week in New York, we were looking for people who would be our Good Samaritans and people whom we can be Good Samaritans to.

And our God was faithful, in a great, big way.
-He provided transportation through our adopted parents, Greg and Cathy Martin, when they allowed us to use their car for the week.

-He provided people at the churches to bless us with their interest and their support.

-He provided new friendships with the people who opened their homes to us during our trip. Myron and Doris Tubbs in Athens, Pennsylvania were such a blessing with their quiet encouragement, peace, and support. Pastor Jay Williams and his wife Carrie, along with their three children Brendan, Isabella, and McKenna, gave us the opportunity to talk and laugh with a couple our age.

-All of the people who gave us directions, helped us carry our luggage, and even that deli guy at Wegemons in Hamburg, NY, God used you, your smile, and your kindness as a blessing.

-And most importantly, all of our prayer partners who were on their knees, interceding on our behalf, praying for us as we traveled, spoke, and worked to raise support to answer God’s call to serve Him in Cambodia.

Thank you, to all of you. May the Lord’s glorious face shine on your this day.

In Christ,

Tim and Tiffany Gallant

We Gallants were unable to "pack light" for this week long trip, so it was a double blessing for the Martins to allow us to use their car for the journey. Not only was it more reliable for the trip, it was also more spacious. Posted by Hello

Athens Wesleyan Church in Pennsylvania Posted by Hello

Here, Tim speaks to the youth leaders of Athens Wesleyan Church. A main focus of the conference was getting the youth involved in missions. It was great to hear how they were already planning where they would like to go for a short-term trip this summer. Posted by Hello

We were blessed with such hospitality at the churches we visited this week. Here we sit with Pastor Stilson and his family and our hosts for the weeken, Myron and Doris Tubbs. Posted by Hello

It is a great joy to share the culture of Cambodia with the children here in the United States. We never get tired of answering their great questions. Posted by Hello

It is amazing how much the children always love our Asian tea. Posted by Hello

The snow in New York was unbelievable, falling for more than two days straight.  Posted by Hello

Some churches were easier to find than others. This is a picture taken in the hills of Pennslyvania, where we searched in vain for Berryhill Wesleyan Church. I think we will just try to give them a phone call next time. Posted by Hello

Driving around the state of New York provided many picturesque scenes. Here, the snowy banks of Lake Erie required a picture. Posted by Hello

The trees on Goat Island were covered by ice from the condensation of the steam from the falls. A pastor that we met in Buffalo equated the island to C.S. Lewis's description of "crystal trees". Posted by Hello

This is a picture from our visit to Niagra Falls on Saturday. It reminded us that the Lord created water for us to live, but He created waterfalls for us to enjoy. His Creation is awesome. Posted by Hello
