New York Update: Pictures below

The Good Samaritan

When Jesus was asked to define a neighbor, He could have answered, “anyone you come in contact with… most importantly, someone with a need.” But he didn’t. Instead He told a story showing us who was in need and how we could help him or her by using our materials, using our transportation, using our money, and most importantly using our time! As we traveled this past week in New York, we were looking for people who would be our Good Samaritans and people whom we can be Good Samaritans to.

And our God was faithful, in a great, big way.
-He provided transportation through our adopted parents, Greg and Cathy Martin, when they allowed us to use their car for the week.

-He provided people at the churches to bless us with their interest and their support.

-He provided new friendships with the people who opened their homes to us during our trip. Myron and Doris Tubbs in Athens, Pennsylvania were such a blessing with their quiet encouragement, peace, and support. Pastor Jay Williams and his wife Carrie, along with their three children Brendan, Isabella, and McKenna, gave us the opportunity to talk and laugh with a couple our age.

-All of the people who gave us directions, helped us carry our luggage, and even that deli guy at Wegemons in Hamburg, NY, God used you, your smile, and your kindness as a blessing.

-And most importantly, all of our prayer partners who were on their knees, interceding on our behalf, praying for us as we traveled, spoke, and worked to raise support to answer God’s call to serve Him in Cambodia.

Thank you, to all of you. May the Lord’s glorious face shine on your this day.

In Christ,

Tim and Tiffany Gallant
