A Special Gift- January 7th Update

Dear Friends and Family,
We have wonderful news for all of you. On December 26th, our daughter arrived. Katherine Maybelle Gallant arrived at 1:07 PM, and after nine months of waiting for her to arrive, we were still astounded by the great blessing that God has bestowed on us in this little, perfect daughter. Both she and Tiffany are doing very well, both in good health, and we are now working to adjust to our new lives as parents to little Katie.

Tiffany began to have contractions on Christmas day, and we went to the hospital at 5 o’clock in the morning on the 26th. After about 8 hours of labor, Katie was born, and she was 6 lbs. 12 oz., and 20 ½” long. In her first 20 minutes of life, her proud new daddy took nearly 160 pictures, the picture to the right being her official weight. However, numbers cannot accurately express the significance of the occasion of her birth or the amount of joy that this little girl has brought to our lives.

Feeling her in our arms for the first time, this special little person whom we had just met, allowed us to understand the great joy and privilege that God has bestowed on us when He allowed us to be parents. This little, helpless child is a gift from the Father, and as Tiffany so accurately put it, a gift that allows us to have a glimpse of what the Father feels when He looks at us, His children.
