It is Finished!

It is Finished!

Jesus said those words from the cross as He fulfilled His purpose on this earth. He came to die that His perfect life may be the payment for the sin debt of the people of those people who believe in Him. As I say those words today, they do not hold the same importance as Jesus’ words, but they do hold a great deal of importance for Tiffany and me. We are finished with our support raising; we have reached 100% of our faith promise, and we will be leaving for Cambodia on the 1st of July, the exact date that God showed to us over six months ago.

How great is our God in heaven? Great enough to bring in the final $10,000 of our support in during the past six weeks. Great enough to provide opportunities to meet with churches and individuals that not only provided the support but also encouraged our hearts and gave us the opportunity to encourage the ministries that God is doing at the churches through them. During the past month, we have had numerous experiences where God showed us His glory and providence, and we hope that the following pictures and short paragraphs can give a small glimpse into the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us.

The Next Generation class at Brookhaven Wesleyan committed to supporting us and the ministry in Cambodia at $100 per year. This is a huge commitment for kids their age, and they decided to sell t-shirts at church to raise their funds. Recently, we went back to the class because they said they had a presentation for us. The presentation was the check that is shown above, and praise the Lord it was for four times the amount they had initially promised. God brought in the funds necessary to meet their commitment and He also taught everyone a valuable lesson; when you step out on faith, be prepared for the fullness of God to shine through and do great big things. These kids are a great blessing to our hearts, and we are blessed to have them on our ministry team.

This is Cornerstone Chapel where we spoke on the 21st of May. Here at this church, we found a pastor and a congregation focused on evangelism in their community and throughout the world. We were blessed in meeting them, and we continue to pray for them and their ministry. We were also tickled to see our name on a notice board for the first time ever.

This West Chester Wesleyan Church near Cincinnati. We spoke here for the PM service after we spoke at Cornerstone. Here we met a pastor whose heart for the lost was evident in all that he did and said. We also found a congregation whose focus on praying for and supporting missions is a way of life. It was a blessing to be with them.

We were also able to go to South Dakota once again to visit our friends at Watertown Wesleyan Church. We spoke to this church the first time we were in the Dakota District, and we were happy to meet with all of the friends that we made the first time we visited. It was a blessing to hear things like “We have been praying for you every week/day” and “how is Tiffany’s throat doing after her surgery?” This is a great church, and we are blessed to be supported by them in our ministry to Cambodia.

Finally, we went to Wallace Wesleyan Church near Corning, NY on the 5th of June. Our friends Bill and Kathleen Spencer pastor this small church in central New York, and we felt extremely privileged to be present a part of their first faith promise commitment as a church. We spoke on Sunday morning to the congregation and to the brand new youth group in the evening, and we were blessed to see how the church is looking outward, seeing what God would have them do in their community. They had set a goal of $1,200 as a church for their faith promise, and Pastor Bill asked them to search God’s will for their part of that commitment. When the figures were in, the church promised nearly $2,500 for our support, blowing us away, and making us praise God for His providence.

These are just a few of the stories of the fulfillment of the promises of God. There have been churches who have decided to support us without ever actually meeting us; a big thank you to Dighton Wesleyan in Michigan and Emmanuel Wesleyan in Roanoke, VA. There have been individuals who have come forward, exceeding all of our dreams, and partnering with us in God’s ministry in Cambodia. We feel blessed, and we know that our God takes care of His own and He fulfills His promises.

We will be posting one more time before we leave for Cambodia, but until then, keep looking to the Lord for all of your needs and trust Him inherently.

In Christ,
Tim and Tiffany Gallant
