Skating Friday Fellowship

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We have to apologize for the long absence of new posts here on our blog. With Tim's parents coming to visit at the beginning of November, and then the marriage retreat down in Kampong Saom, we have been very busy over the past month. However, we want to keep you all up-to-date on what is happening in our lives here in Cambodia. Thanks to a gift from one of our supporters, we were able to take our students skating at a local skating rink for last month's Friday Fellowship. In these pictures, the one to the left being taken at the place where we bought ice cream for the students (you might be able to make out the tiny cones that they served us), you will see the smiles on our students' faces that reveal the fun that they had that evening. It was a great night of fellowship, though we did lose one student for a time in the mall (all of you parents will understand that feeling), and we hope that you enjoy seeing the pictures and reading the captions below. Stay tuned in the next week as we will be posting pictures of the Tim's parents' visit and the marriage retreat in Kampong Saom.

God Bless,
Tim and Tiffany

Here you are seeing Tiffany skating with one of our students, Lis. This night was Lis's second time to go skating. Her previous attempt at skating was described by one of our students as "walking fast". However, this night, she skated fairly well, and she had a great time skating with her favorite English teacher, Teacher Tiffany.

It always strikes as funny to see the students wearing anything other than sandals. Here you are seeing Som On trying on his skates at the beginning of the night.

Not only were the students hot and sweaty by the end of the night, some of them were also quite sore because of repeated trips to the ground.

We truly believe that God created this world for our enjoyment. We had a great night with our students, in fellowship, activity, fun and in the knowledge that we are indeed all brothers and sisters in Christ. What a blessing!
