An Update from the Gallants
We would first like to thank all of you who logged onto our webpage to read the update about the "Trouble with Transportation". We hope that your hearts were encouraged and your faith in God's provision strengthened. It was the most read post in the history of our webpage. Thank you, and here is an update about what has been going on lately.
We spoke at Sonlight Wesleyan Church on Sunday the 17th of July. We had a great time sharing with the congregation and the Sunday school classes. We also had a great time with Pastor Lyle Breedings and Pastor Tom Bradley, the two pastors of this church, and it was encouraging to sit and talk with them about the church and about the ministry in Cambodia.
Here Tiffany speaks with a member of the Sonlight congregation. We had a great time speaking with her as she told us about her daughter who attends Indiana Wesleyan University and is very interested in the mission field. It is great to meet people around the nation who have such a passion and an interest in overseas missions.
When we first returned from vacation out west with my family, we worked with the VBS program at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church. We were fortunate to work with the 5th and 6th graders whose time at VBS is different than most children's. Every night, these students went out to visit a different ministry in Grant County. They visited with the chaplain at the jail, took a tour of the Grant County Rescue Mission, and here they are learning about MICO. Marion Inner City Outreach is a program that ministers to men and women who live in downtown Marion who need someone to show them the love of Jesus Christ. Barbara, shown here speaking the children, and her husband Paul, are the people who serve in this much needed ministry.
We were also able to spend time with a great group of kids and adult sponsors. Paul and Lora Clark and Wes and Susie Munsell are the leaders of the 5th and 6th grade group at Brookhaven, and it was a privelege working alongside people whose heart is focused on ministering to these young Christians. The students were also a great joy every night as we drove them around, talked, played, and served beside them. In this picture, you are seeing the girls was out medicine bottles that are used at Bridges to health, a free medical facility that is operated in Marion. The students learned a great deal about the ministries in the county and about the people who are served by these ministries, people who may not be as fortunate as the students are.
Also, Tiffany and I were very honored to be the guest missionaries for the VBS. Each night the students heard a little about Cambodia and they took it upon themselves to raise money for our vehicle that we will use in Cambodia. It was so neat to see the kids bringing in their money each night, the boys and girls competing for the heaviest offering bucket. God blessed this offering which exceeded $1000, and we were very thankful to all these children who gave so willingly.
Finally, on the 24th of July, we traveled up to Forestville Wesleyan Church in New York. Some of you might be wondering how our car functioned on the travels, and I am happy to announce that it ran like a peach. We spent time with Pastors Bruce and Patrcia Ellis, along with their family, and we had a great time sharing with the congregation.

Here you are seeing pictures of the people who came to visit our table after the service. As always, it is so great to see children interested in foreign culture and in missions. On the left you are seeing Pastor Ellis son Joshua work to open our Cambodian Puzzle box, and the picture on the right is of a parent and child investigating the Cambodian "kicker" that is a very popular item at all churches we visit.
