Spiritual Emphasis Week

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The new school year at the Wesleyan Bible Institute has begun, and we are excited to report that it started with a great moment in the history of the WBI. During the first week of school, we held a spiritual emphasis week where we were led by the Filipino team in a search of what it truly means to be Called by God to Holiness. Here you are seeing Pastor Kimsua and Pastor Fitz sharing at our night of prayer and fasting where we spent many hours praying for topics such as the country of Cambodia, the national church, and our own spiritual need to be living with the holiness that we can have when we are filled with the Spirit of God.

During the week, the missionaries prepared a special song. Now we, the Gallants that is, do not usually do a great amount of singing in front of people, as anyone who has heard Tim sing aloud, will agree is a good thing. However, we did learn and perform "The Potter's Hands" in both Khmer and English. It is always great to praise God, and being able to do it in the native language of our Khmer friends was a blessing to their hearts and ours.

During the night of prayer and fasting, we were blessed to see the level of dedication our students had in bringing their requests before the Lord. There were many tears shed that night as they prayed for their country, for their lives, and for Jesus to continue to transform both. Here you are seeing some of our students during the break where we all relaxed and fellowshipped together.

The final song of the night was performed by our WBI President Greg Fernandez and his wife Resie. They sang the song "My Tribute", and followed it with a closing prayer for the WBI, the National Church, and for all of us to continue in our walk with the Lord. It was a special night for all those who attended, and it was a great way to begin our new school year.

We want to thank you for continuing to visit our blog to hear about the great things that God is doing here in Cambodia. We have also been having a great number of celebrations here on the field such as birthdays and baby dedications. If you would like to see pictures of these events, click here or on the 2007 Gallant Photos Link on the right hand side of the page.

Thanks again for your interest, and we hope that hearing these stories of God's faithfulness and blessing will also be a blessing to your lives and encourage you to continue to trust Him with all things,

In His Hands,
Tim and Tiffany Gallant
