2007 Youth Conferences

Youth Conferences, where the excitement and energy levels are always at a premium. We held two youth conventions this year, and both were well attended by young men and women of the Wesleyan Church of Cambodia. Nearly 150 youth came from seven different provinces to attend these conventions, and it was a blessing to see this huge turnout. To view more pictures from the Youth Conferences, click here or on the 2007 Gallant Photos Link on the right hand side of the page.

These youth learned together from a team of pastors from the Philippines. They stayed together at each of the venues. They ate together, sometimes even in different shifts because we did not have enough tables, and they worshipped together. These young men and women are products of the ministry of our pastors and teachers around the country. The purpose of the WBI and the National church is the raise up strong leaders, and the youth pictured here and all those who attended the conventions are the outcome of their ministry.

Life principles were taught, applications were reflected upon, decisions were made, and many youth recognized and accepted the life that God is calling them to as the future of the church of Cambodia. In the future, the young men and women praying here may be pastors, teachers, national leaders, and though we do not know what the outcome of their lives will be, we can trust that God’s wisdom and cosmic plan has a special purpose for each and every one of them.

Thank you for your prayers during these conventions. We were exhausted at the close of the last conference, but we know that the prayers of the faithful had been lifting us up to the Father whose providence supplied just enough energy, time and strength for each day.

God bless you all,
Tim and Tiffany Gallant

**We have a special prayer request for Mamel Rafael, our mission director’s wife. She has been sick for nearly two months with acute stomach pain. She has seen countless doctors, and they still have not determined what is causing her illness. Pray that the right doctor is found, either here in Phnom Penh or in another country, and that God’s healing hand would be upon her.

I saw pictures of Glenbert, Kenji, Joel and Fitz. Who was the fifth member of the team from the Philippines? Glen and Kenji were a couple of my students.
