East Aurora Wesleyan Church (more pictures below)
We had come to share at the church’s Missions Fest, expanding the mission view of the church to what God is doing in Cambodia. God blessed our time of speaking, giving us the privilege of speaking about His greatness but also the desires of our hearts to serve Him overseas in Cambodia. He also provided new prayer supporters and a potential partnership with the Wesleyan Church there in East Aurora, but our great God in heaven did not stop there.
He blessed us with safety in our travels. When we left for New York on Friday morning, it was raining, and it continued to rain for the entire eight-hour drive and even into the next afternoon. Then, as we were driving home on Sunday, we ran into a heavy snowstorm around Cleveland. Our vision was impaired as we drove into the sleet and the snow. We saw cars that had slid into the medians and into the guardrails. We had semi trucks passing us while sending sheets of snow and water onto our windshield, completely blinding us. But in all of these difficulties, we were kept safe and our God in heaven led us all of the way.
One final blessing that I must tell you about is the opportunity to hear the testimonies of many brothers and sisters in Christ whose lives have been transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ. Not only were these men and women Christians; they were disciples, giving their all for Jesus Christ and seeking Him with their lives. I was reminded once again how our lives are only fully realized when we completely lose them in our surrender to our Creator.
As we drove, we had a verse on our dashboard.
“The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice… Fire goes before Him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory.” Psalm 97:1,3-6
It was an amazing weekend, and I hope that all those reading this post will share in this view of His glory.
Thank you for reading and for all of your support and encouragement.
In Christ,
Tim Gallant
